He was tutored in piano, double bass and percussion, and sang in various choirs. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 20px;\">Andreas Fellner received his Bachelor of Music at the Mozarteum Salzburg in the percussion class of Peter Sadlo. During his time there, he played percussion in different orchestras and developed a great interest in conducting. After subsequent conducting studies with Georg Mark in Vienna, Andreas Fellner was engaged by the Anhaltische Theater Dessau as solo repetiteur and assistant conductor. Conducting engagements followed as first Kapellmeister at the Theater Krefeld M\u00f6nchengladbach and as Music Director of the Landeskapelle Eisenach.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 20px;\">Andreas Fellner was a conducting fellow of the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra, and assisted Marc Albrecht at the Bayrische Staatsoper M\u00fcnchen and Simone Young at the Wiener Staatsoper. As a guest conductor he works on a regular basis with the Beethovenorchester Bonn, WDR-Sinfonieorchester K\u00f6ln, G\u00fcrzenich-Orchester K\u00f6ln, D\u00fcsseldorfer Symphoniker, and the Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 20px;\">During the last few Seasons Andreas Fellner conducted at the Salzburg Festival, where he led the Opera-Camps of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra for Enescus Oedipe, Strauss\u00b4 Elektra, Verdis Aida and Puccinis Tosca.<br \/>Another important debut was at Bayerische Staatsoper M\u00fcnchen, where Andreas Fellner conducted the first performance of Gordon Kampes childrens opera \u201eSpring doch\u201c.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Born in 1981 in Vienna, Austria, Andreas Fellner received a broad musical education from his early childhood on.
